Once shaped, the tiles are
laid out to dry under the warm Moroccan sun. This natural
drying process ensures the
tiles are ready for the next
step without cracking or losing their form. They are then fired in traditional wood-burning
kilns, where the uneven
distribution of heat gives each
tile its unique character and
strength.

3. Hand-Glazing

After firing, the tiles are glazed by hand using natural pigments. Each glaze is carefully applied to create the vibrant colors and rich finishes that Zellige tiles are known for.
